Help for HAITI
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1

On Tuesday, January 12, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck the island nation of Haiti, with its epicenter being just 9.3 miles southwest of the capital city, Port-au-Prince. The city is reportedly “in ruins” with many thousands suspected killed, many more injured and unknown hundreds or even thousands trapped under the rubble of collapsed homes, businesses, churches, government buildings and reportedly, a hospital. Untold numbers of people have died; many have been injured and left homeless.

As Presiding Prelate of the Florida Atlantic Diocese of the Church of the Living God, I call upon every pastor, every church congregation, and every member of a local assembly to give your financial support, medical supplies, food, water, clothing and any other assistance in the way of volunteering to travel to Haiti to assist in the social, economic, financial, and spiritual needs of our brothers and sisters in Haiti.

Elder Hazel Hoylman, Pastor of House of Prayer Church of the Living God, Fort Pierce, FL will be personally traveling to Haiti to volunteer her time in help to meet the need. As Presiding Prelate of the Diocese, I’m requesting that each of you send a check made payable to FL Atlantic Diocese CLG- re: Haiti as soon as possible so that we can send funds with Elder Hoylman to meet the vast needs of our Haitian families. Please send all clothing items, medical supplies and other forms of assistance to: Presiding Elder Mandy Connelly, House of Prayer Church of the Living God, Orlando, Florida.

“The best way to assist the people of Haiti right now,” is by making a cash gift. “This is a major disaster that requires a major response. We’re encouraging people to join with their family and friends and make a sacrificial gift so more people can receive help. Our pledge is to stretch every dollar to minister to as many suffering people as possible.”

Your gift can be put to work immediately helping the victims of this tragic earthquake.

I request your continued prayers and financial support in this endeavor.
