- Developed, designed, leads, oversees, managed, controlled, and monitored all the Corporate Human Resource functions at Wattyl US and its division for maximum results. The major core processes covered are organizational planning, organizational development, employment, orientation and training and development, employee relations, collective bargaining negotiations; employee assistance program, payroll administration, workers compensation, benefits & compensation, labor relations, EEO/Affirmative Action and Corporate Gifts for the United States facilities/divisions.
- Human Resources: Recruited, retained, trained hired, administered benefits, workers compensation, payroll administration, etc. in ways that achieves company objectives. Attract, train, motivates key personnel of the highest caliber who will contribute significantly to the growth of the company and assure that quality people are available for management succession.
- Compensation and Benefits: Developed, implemented, oversees, and maintained a comprehensive compensation and benefits programs. Conducted need analysis and analyze evaluation data for management reporting. (401-K) Retirement Plan; Medical and Dental Health Plan; Long/Short Term Disability; Executive Deferred Compensation Plan; Pre-Paid Legal Plan, Executive Reimbursement Plan; Company Relocation& Travel Program; etc.
- Payroll Administration: Directed the activities of corporate payroll function in over 35 states. Responsible for all payroll related disbursements and reporting, including all reporting of payroll data to employee internally and outside agencies (state and federal). Ensures timely and accurate payroll processing in accordance with wage and hour laws.
- Employee Relations: Maintained compliance with local, state, and federal laws, reports, and guidelines. Developed and administered employee recognition programs (EOM, Serve Awards, Holiday Party, Annual Company Picnic, Special Breakfasts, Retirement Recognition, Employee of the Year, etc.). Facilitates problem solving mediations. Managed all workers compensation and unemployment compensation claims. Implemented "Light-duty" pool or injured workers. Implemented Succession and Employee Development Programs. Maintained Affirmative Action Program and Reporting Requirements of EEO1 Report. Provided Monthly Statistical reports to the President on turnover and market trends.
- Labor Relations: Represented the best interest of the Corporation in the collective bargaining process of represented employees through the union contract negotiation. Successfully negotiated and renegotiated contracts to cover grievances, disputes, benefits, compensation, evaluations, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment. Provided management training to all supervisory and executive employees on collective bargaining contract compliance. Monitored the collective bargaining agreement for compliance. Developed flexible recruiting and retention plan to meet the technical, conceptual and human skills needed. Resolved grievances and resolutions of problems.
- Workers Compensation: Provided leadership in monitoring and assuring compliance to the company's comprehensive workers compensation program. Implemented Weekly Safety Meetings and Inspections. Developed Employee Health and Safety Committee. Assisted in the Investigation and Resolution of work-site incidents and accidents. Negotiated Renewals and discounts for being a Drug-Free Workplace.
