Bishop Dr. Lillie Delores Simmons Ward is the Founding Pastor of Emmanuel Church of the Living God, Inc in Daytona Beach, and the Presiding Prelate of the Florida Atlantic Diocese of the Church of the Living God, Inc. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Elder Andrew Dye Simmons and the Reverend Dr. Annie Simmons Lofton.
She received her high school education from Girls High School, Brooklyn, New York; the Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, and the Masters degree in Human Relations and Community Affairs from the American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Bishop Dr. Ward's work experience is quite extensive. She has taught Elementary Education in Springfield; she has been an ESE Teacher at Hillcrest School and a Student Facilitator at Palm Terrace Elementary School; Assistant Director of the Rose Marie Bryon Children's Center; Instructor of Mathematics and Psychology at Daytona Beach Community College, and Coordinator/Supervisor of Student Interns at the University of Central Florida all in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Bishop Dr. Ward was licensed and ordained in the New England Diocese of the Church of the Living God, and she has ministered nationally and internationally in the Caribbean, Canada, and Europe. She is in demand, and has conducted and facilitated retreats, workshops, seminars, revivals, and has served as a lecturer, panelist, and counselor. She is the former Pastor of the Garden of Prayer, Church of the Living God in Weirsdale, Florida, and the former District Presiding Elder of Central Florida. She was the President of the National Youth Congress of the Church of the Living God and is currently the National Youth Congress Liaison Bishop. Bishop Dr. Ward serves as the Chairperson for the Church of the Living God Credentials and Church Discipline Committee.
